TechFlow’s Digital Services Division is seeking an innovative, high-energy, and passionate candidate to join the team as a SAFe SME/Agile Coach.

THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON WINNING THE USCG APLES 2 PROGRAM.

POSITION SUMMARY

The SAFe SME/Agile Coach will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day development activities of assigned client projects including planning, prioritizing, coordinating with partners and subcontractors, implementation development, providing status to clients, resource planning, interviewing, preparing budgets and managing employees. Will participate in business development projects by providing technical support and proposal consultations.

MANAGEMENT SCOPE

The SAFe SME/Agile Coach will mentor, coach, and in some cases manage, project teams, which can include software engineers, systems administrators, solutions analysts and architects and software support analysts. Coach and mentor customer representatives is all aspects of Agile and SAFe. Interacts closely with other project managers, senior management, subcontractors and clients. Will assist and perform as necessary solutions architect support, technical support and proposal support.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

-Responsible for SAFe SME/Agile coach objectives including, but not limited to:

-Training, coaching and mentoring development teams as well as customer representatives.
-Responsible for working with client individuals and teams on their process — improving their success as a team and their effectiveness with Agile and Scrum, resulting in a successful implementation for the client.  
-Possess outstanding facilitation and conflict-resolutions skills and lead teaching sessions for Scrum Masters, -Product Owners and/or general Agile practices.  
-Must possess outstanding communication and leadership skills and have experience leading large scale programs with multiple agile project threads ($5 Mil+).  
-Must be able to advise and coach project thread teams through Agile methodology (i.e. experience with Scrum of Scums and Agile at Scale).   
-Interfaces with clients on technical matters.
-Developing and communicates project plans, priorities and tasks.
-Occasionally provides hands-on development oversight for special projects.
-Monitors progress on client’s projects.
-Gathers project status from employees, support staff and developers.
-Provides formal training/project status to clients and the Program Manager in a proactive and timely manner.
-Occasionally would participate in business development by reviewing RFPs, developing and reviewing proposals and meeting with potential clients and planning resources in regards to SAFE/Agile.
-Escalates issues that will affect the success of the project or the relationship with the client.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

-Master’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science or related field.
-8-15 years of related experience
-SAFe Program Consultant Trainer (SPC4) certification
-4-5 years external customer training/coaching experience.
-4-5 years of development experience preferred.
-Analysis and architecture experience preferred.
-Senior level JAVA/J2EE platform experience preferred.
-Ability to think critically, evaluate assumptions and develop and adapt solutions to evolving problems using logical thinking and a systematic approach.
-Excellent command of the Software Development Life Cycle, software development methodologies and best practices.
-Experience with Agile and Extreme Programming is a plus.
-Flexibility with new/unusual approaches, commitment and follow-through.
-Ability to stay organized and set priorities.
-Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, as well as prioritization (both personal and for the team).
-Ability to delegate tasks and track tasks.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Excellent interpersonal communication both written and verbal; ability to tailor level of detail to the audience.
-Ability to lead effective discussions with clients and facilitate communication.
